DIY Sensory Jar for Teaching Creation (Day 2)
Supplies Needed:
Jar or Wide-Mouth Bottle with Lid
Water
Blue Food Coloring
Spoon (to mix the water and food coloring)
Baby Oil
Directions:
Fill half of the jar/bottle with water.
Add a couple drops of blue food coloring. Stir.
Fill the other half of the jar/bottle with baby oil. Leave about an inch of space at the top.
Add in a handful of foam balls. The ones that I used are ½ inch.
Secure the lid tightly.
Shake the jar and watch the separation while talking about the second day of Creation.
Scripture
“6 And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” 7 So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.”
Genesis 1:6-8 NIV
