Object Lesson for Teaching Creation (Day 6)

Supplies Needed:

Directions:

  1. Draw a heart and/or “Made in His image” backwards on a handheld mirror.

  2. Turn off lights.

  3. Use a flashlight to reflect the image on the mirror onto a white t-shirt or the wall. The flashlight needs to be pointed at the mirror, and the mirror then angles the reflection onto the wall or shirt.

Being made in the image of God means possessing inherent value, creative purpose, and the capacity for meaningful relationship and moral stewardship. Similar to the mirror, we are designed to reflect His love and creativity into the world around us.

Scripture

“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”

Genesis 1:27 NIV
