Keepsake Craft for Teaching Creation (Day 5)
Supplies Needed:
Construction Paper
School Glue
Feathers
Acrylic Markers (This is what I used. You can use any markers that you already own for the fish and bird. Acrylic markers work better on the dark blue popsicle stick.)
Popsicle Stick
2 Googly Eyes
Directions:
Fold the piece of construction paper in half.
Trace your child’s hand in the middle of the paper and cut it out so that you have two identical hand cut-outs.
For the fish, your child’s thumb will be at the bottom. Add a googly eye and other details with markers.
For the bird, your child’s pinky finger will be at the bottom. Add a googly eye and other details with markers. Glue on a couple of feathers.
Glue the fish at the bottom of the popsicle stick. You can use acrylic markers to add bubbles (See pictures below).
Glue the bird on the other side of the popsicle stick. Use acrylic markers to add legs and clouds (See pictures below).
I glue the bird so that it is directly behind this fish. This makes a really neat double-sided craft.
Let dry completely and use this craft to teach your child about the fifth day of Creation.
